The Opportunity

Already part-way through your mechanic apprenticeship and ready for a fresh start or more hands-on experience?

CCGT is looking for a 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice Mechanic to join a trusted automotive dealership in Wyong.

You’ll be working in a modern dealership workshop where you can keep building your skills, work across multiple vehicle brands and learn from an experienced service team.

You will be employed by Central Coast Group Training (CCGT) and placed with the Host Employer for your day-to-day work. CCGT will support you through the rest of your apprenticeship while you continue your nationally recognised Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.

This is a full-time role, generally working 7:30am to 5:06pm, Monday to Friday. Some overtime and weekend work may be required.

What You’ll Actually Be Doing

You already have some trade skills behind you. This role is about building on them and becoming more confident in a busy dealership workshop.

You’ll continue learning how to:

- Complete vehicle servicing and express maintenance
- Assist with diagnostics and mechanical repairs
- Work across multiple vehicle brands
- Use tools and workshop equipment safely and correctly
- Follow repair processes, workshop standards and safety procedures
- Work alongside qualified technicians on real jobs
- Keep your work area organised and ready for the next task

As your skills grow,



you may take on more responsibility and continue developing your diagnostic, repair and problem-solving skills.

What We’re Looking For

This role could suit you if you:

- Are currently a 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice Mechanic
- Are genuinely interested in cars and the automotive industry
- Turn up on time and are ready to learn
- Listen carefully and follow instructions
- Ask questions when you are unsure
- Work safely and respect the team around you




- Enjoy hands-on work and solving problems
- Can handle a busy, fast-moving workshop environment
- Have a current driver’s licence
- Are willing to complete a licence history check
- Have your own vehicle, preferred

Pay This is a paid, full-time apprenticeship. Current apprentice rates are:

- $22.09 per hour, or approximately $ 839.33 per week for a 3rd Year Mechanic who completed year 12
- $25.92 per hour, or approximately $984.81 per week for a 4th Year Mechanic who completed year 12

Rates are before tax and based on 38 ordinary hours per week. Your exact rate will depend on the applicable apprenticeship classification and will be confirmed before an employment offer is made. Superannuation and any applicable overtime, penalty rates and allowances are paid in addition.
