About the role
We are seeking a motivated and organised Casual Administrative Assistant / Scheduler to support our growing defence contract in the Northern Territory. Based in our Darwin office, you will play a key role in supporting daily business operations, workforce scheduling, and customer service activities. This casual position offers flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to a energetic and supportive team environment.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinating and maintaining employee schedules, training requirements and resource allocations
- Assisting with personnel administration activities
- Liaising with employees, supervisors and clients to ensure workforce requirements are met
- Managing incoming phone calls, emails and general enquiries
- Preparing and maintaining accurate records, reports and documentation
- Supporting recruitment activities, including arranging interviews and onboarding documentation
- Assisting with timesheet administration and data entry
- Supporting continuous improvement of administrative and scheduling processes
About you
- Previous experience in an administration, scheduling, workforce planning or coordination role
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team workplace
- Experience in the resources, engineering, construction or industrial services sectors will be highly regarded
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn
