About the Role

As a Broker Assistant/Trainee Broker, you'll work alongside experienced brokers to support and service a portfolio of clients while developing your technical and client relationship skills. You'll gain hands-on experience across a range of insurance products, while working towards becoming a broker.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide office admin duties and support to brokers

- Assist brokers with managing client insurance and risk needs

- Prepare current business quotes, renewals, endorsements and cancellations

- Handle client and insurer enquiries by phone and email

- Process policies using insurer platforms and internal systems

- Prepare documentation and invoices accurately and on time

- Claims admin support

What You'll Bring

Working as part of a team, the right candidate must display the following attributes, qualifications & experience:

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively





- Customer service orientation in a professional services role and motivation to exceed client needs and expectations at all times

- Minimum 2 years experience in general insurance, insurance broking

- Tier 1 Insurance Broking Qualification preferred

- A strong interest in progressing to a client-facing broker role

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- High attention to detail and strong time management

- High level of computer proficiency, including MS Office 365, experience with broking systems

- Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills

- Friendly disposition and natural empathetic nature

- Passionate and motivated self-starter with a positive 'can do' attitude
