About the role

We are seeking an experienced Beekeeper to join our team at My Dads Honey in Moama, NSW. As a Beekeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and managing our beehives, ensuring the continuous production of high-quality honey. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and rewarding environment, surrounded by the natural beauty of the region.

What you'll be doing

1. Inspect and maintain the health and productivity of our beehives

2. Collect and extract honey, wax, and other hive products

3. Monitor and control pests and diseases affecting the hives

4. Assist with the preparation and preservation of honey for packaging and distribution

5. Maintain accurate records of hive activities and production

6. Collaborate with the team to implement best practices in beekeeping and honey harvesting

7. Contribute to the continuous improvement of our beekeeping operations

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 2 years of experience as a Beekeeper or in a similar role

2. Commercial beekeeping experience is required for this position

3. Thorough understanding of apiculture and bee behaviour

4. Ability to identify and manage common bee health issues and pests

5. Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills

6.



Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks related to beekeeping

7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills

8. Passion for sustainable and ethical farming practices

9. Australian work rights are required for this position
