Tasks and Responsibilities

The role will include a wide range of welding and fabrication tasks, including but not limited to:

- Carrying out welding tasks, including MIG, TIG and stick welding, as required

- Fabricating, assembling and repairing metal structures and components

- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints and welding symbols

- Cutting, shaping and joining metal parts using hand tools and welding equipment

- Inspecting welds to ensure strength, quality and compliance with relevant standards

- Preparing materials and surfaces for welding and fabrication work





- Operating welding machinery and related construction equipment safely

- Performing maintenance and basic repairs on tools and equipment

- Ensuring all work is completed in line with project specifications and deadlines

- Following workplace health and safety procedures at all times

Qualifications and Experience

- At least one year of experience as a welder or in a related fabrication role

- Relevant welding qualification or Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade is advantageous but not required

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans

- Experience with various welding techniques and metal types

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

- Physically fit and able to work in construction-site conditions

- Reliable, safety-focused and able to work independently or as part of a team
