Our Intensive Care department is looking for a friendly Ward Clerk to join their team on a full time basis.
Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Manage a busy reception desk answering and redirecting calls
- Organise Radiology and other appointments for patients.
- Maintain accurate and effective record management systems including preparation of medical records
- Perform Health Fund Checks as required.
- Data Entry
- Acute care certificates and uploading the same on WebPass
What you'll need to succeed
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as a team member in a small team setting
- Ability to work within deadlines
- Flexible to work a variety of shifts

We are a 189 bed, acute, private hospital facility co-located on the John Hunter Campus at Rankin Park. The hospital has 11 theatres including a hybrid theatre and a 15 bed Intensive Care Unit.
We also have a cardiac suite including a cardiac catheter laboratory and a 16 bed Coronary Care Unit. A private maternity suite including 6 birthing suites and a special care baby nursery is available for families in the Newcastle region. Newcastle Private Oncology Centre provides specialty care for individuals and their families/carers undergoing all aspects of cancer treatment and care with both an inpatient unit and day infusion lounge.
