Provide support to patients with physical and/or intellectual disabilities in a group home setting in Blakeview, Adelaide.
Key responsibilities
- Provide support to patients with physical and/or intellectual disabilities
- Assist client with activities and personal care during their daily home living
- Understand and provide appropriate care to patients with low needs to patients with high needs who demonstrate a range of challenging behaviours
- Assist with activities relating to daily living, community support, and empowerment
- Work under general guidance from the person seeking support and their family, within clearly defined guidelines
- Deliver a service that meets the needs of a highly disadvantaged group while operating in line with legislation, regulation, and best practice guidelines
- Represent the Ultimate Disability Services brand with enthusiasm and pride
- Communicate with relevant internal and external stakeholders in an efficient manner
About you
- Must have experience working with mental and physical disability clients
- A can-do attitude, enthusiasm, and great communication skills
- Strong, proven interpersonal skills and empathy
- Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills
