About the Role
As a Trainer & Assessor, you will deliver engaging, compliant, and culturally appropriate vocational education and training (VET) programs to students studying within the health sector.
You will play a key role in supporting students throughout their learning journey, facilitating practical and theoretical learning, conducting assessments, and ensuring training delivery aligns with accredited training packages, RTO standards, and industry requirements.
This role is ideal for professionals with experience in:
- Primary Health Care
- Nursing Education
- Community Health
- Aboriginal Health
- Clinical Training
- Vocational Education & Training (VET)
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and culturally appropriate training and assessment
- Facilitate classroom, practical, and student support activities
- Deliver learning and assessment materials aligned with accredited training packages
- Support students to achieve competency and successful course completion
- Maintain accurate student records, assessment evidence, and compliance documentation
- Ensure compliance with RTO standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and training program development
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, industry stakeholders, and community partners
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment
About You
We are looking for passionate educators and health professionals who are committed to student success and community outcomes.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant qualifications and industry experience in one or more of the following:
- Primary Health Care
- Nursing
- Community Health
- Aboriginal Health Care
- Current and valid AHPRA Registration (where applicable)
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent)
(Applicants currently working toward their TAE are encouraged to apply.)
- Experience supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and communities
- Minimum 3 years' recent industry experience
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Digital literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander student cohorts
- Commitment to culturally safe and inclusive practices
Desirable
- Experience in Vocational Education and Training (VET)
- Experience working within an RTO environment
Compliance Requirements
- Working With Children Check
- National Police Clearance
- Must have valid Australian working rights
