The Role

We are seeking an Early Childhood Education Teacher to join our small team at Brunswick Junction PS. You will be providing DOTT (Duties Other than Teaching) to our Kindergarten/Pre Primary class.

We are seeking a teacher who is creative and responsive in their approach, recognises individual strengths, needs and interests, and caters for and celebrates cultural diversity. They should be committed to ongoing professional growth and development and support current whole school processes.

We seek a teacher who possesses proficiency in current and effective evidence-based early childhood teaching practices and a strong understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum and Kindergarten Curriculum Guidelines, with the ability to plan and deliver high-quality, play-based and intentional learning experiences. Applicants should ideally have an understanding of the importance of developing the whole child and be able to provide learning programs that support children's social, emotional, physical and academic development. They should be confident in using observations,



assessment data and other forms of evidence to differentiate learning, identify individual needs and evaluate the impact of their teaching on children's progress and achievement.

The successful applicant will ideally display the ability to build strong and valuable relationships with children, staff, families and the wider school community. They should display a warm, nurturing and responsive approach to supporting children's wellbeing, behaviour and engagement. The successful applicant will ideally use proactive strategies to promote positive behaviour, self-regulation, independence and a strong sense of belonging, enabling positive outcomes both within and beyond the classroom.
