Job Description
The Project
The consortium of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has been selected to build South Australia's biggest-ever road infrastructure project. In partnership with the South Australian Government, this consortium forms the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance.
The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, will deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, forming a continuous 78 km, non-stop, traffic light-free motorway, and contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.
The T2D Project involves constructing two separate tunnels – the Southern Tunnels and the Northern Tunnels connected by an open motorway, with a combined total distance of 10.5km, open to traffic in 2031. The T2D project comprises the tunnels, surface works including road and bridge construction in addition to services buildings and complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure. The T2D Alliance is committed to providing opportunities for local people, Aboriginal workers, apprentices, trainees and job seekers who are long-term unemployed and offers people an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Advisor to support weekly payroll operations of the T2D workforce.
This is a great opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has a strong eye for detail and is confident managing high-volume payroll across a large workforce.
The role will initially be based at St Marys, with the potential to transition across several sites. To be successful you will require flexibility and a willingness to work across project locations as required.
Responsibilities
Processing high-volume weekly payroll across a large project workforceReviewing and validating timesheet data through KronosEnsuring accurate processing of ordinary hours,
overtime, allowances, penalties and leaveInvestigating and resolving payroll discrepancies and employee queriesWorking closely with supervisors and Time & Attendance teams to resolve timesheet issuesEnsuring payroll data is accurately transferred and reconciledInterpreting and applying Enterprise Agreements, Awards and company policiesCompleting payroll reconciliations and payroll checksMaintaining accurate employee payroll recordsSupporting payroll reporting and auditsAssisting with payroll-related projects, system updates and process improvementsProviding a high level of customer service to employees and project stakeholders
About You
Experienced Payroll Officer, Payroll Advisor or similar with proven end-to-end payroll experience.Confident processing high-volume payroll accurately and efficiently.Strong experience with Kronos or similar Time & Attendance systems.Sound understanding of timesheets, overtime, allowances, penalties and leave.Experienced in interpreting and applying Enterprise Agreements and Awards.Robust Excel, reconciliation, analytical and problem-solving skills.Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.Strong communicator with a customer-focused approach and the ability to handle confidential information.Experience working within construction, infrastructure, resources or other large workforce environments is highly regarded.Holds a current driver’s licence, reliable vehicle and Construction White Card, with flexibility to work across project locations.
