About the role

BINC Pre-cast, Elite Concrete and BINC Concrete Pumping are seeking Carpenters/Formworkers, Steel Fixers, and Concrete Finishers for a growing Tasmanian construction business delivering concrete, pumping and construction services across the state.

Key responsibilities

Carpenters / Formworkers:

- Construct, erect and strip formwork for concrete structures

- Read and work from plans and drawings

- Install formwork, props, bracing and related components

- Check levels, lines and dimensions before concrete pours

- Maintain formwork and equipment

- Work closely with steel fixing and concrete crews

- Assist with general site duties as required

Steel Fixers:

- Cut, bend, place and tie reinforcing steel

- Install reinforcement for slabs, footings, beams, columns and walls

- Read basic reinforcement drawings and specifications

- Check reinforcement placement before concrete pours

- Work closely with formwork and concrete crews

- Assist with general site duties as required

Concrete Finishers:

- Assist with concrete pours and placement

- Screed, level and finish concrete surfaces

- Carry out edging, trowelling and other finishing work

- Use relevant hand and power tools





- Work alongside formwork and steel fixing crews

- Maintain a clean and secure work area

- Assist with general site duties as required

About you

- Have a White Card

- Have a Certificate II in Construction or relevant qualification – desirable, not essential

- Have relevant experience

- Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn

- Take safety seriously and follow site requirements

- Take pride in the quality of their work

- Work well as part of a team

- Willing to help across different areas of the site when required
