We are seeking to appoint a Team Leader to provide positive, on-the-ground leadership to our Mowing and Horticulture teams.
The Shire of Capel is located in the South West, halfway between Bunbury and Busselton. We are nestled between the beach and the forest and are one of the fastest growing coastal Shires in Australia. Working closely with our Supervisor Parks and Coordinator Parks, you will assist with the planning, scheduling and delegation of tasks including gardening, pruning, and undertake various parks related maintenance tasks, involving the operation of mowers, tractors and other small plant. You will work alongside your team providing hands-on support, guidance and training as required in the completion of these tasks. You will also participate in the on-call roster.

• Base annual salary $77,103.52 per annum dependent on skills, experience, and qualifications
• Annual leave loading of 17.5%

To be considered for this role you will be able to demonstrate:
• Behaviour that positively demonstrates the Shire’s HEART of: Honesty, Empathy, Accountability, Respect and Teamwork
• Skills and / or qualifications in Horticulture of relevant field
• Experience in maintenance of parks, gardens or other infrastructure
• Demonstrated leadership / supervisory skills
• Construction Safety Awareness Certificate
• C -Class drivers licence
Qualifications in traffic management (Basic Worksite Traffic Management, Traffic Control and/or Advanced Worksite Traffic Management), along with experience or certification in chainsaw use, will be highly regarded.
