CCB is seeking a full time Aquaculture Technician to join our expanding production team in the stunning Whitsundays. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, hands-on role in an industry that thrives on innovation and sustainability.
As part of our commitment to upskilling our team, we are seeking a keen, hardworking, and reliable individual with a strong interest in the rapidly growing Aquaculture Industry. This position offers a diverse range of daily tasks (outlined below) and provides comprehensive training across our production system. You will gain valuable experience and develop skills across a broad spectrum of Aquaculture operations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Fish Feeding
· Fish Harvesting
· Fish Processing
· Testing WQ Parameter's
· Parasite Checks and Treatments
· Installation of New Systems
· Experimental Feed Trials
· Machinery Operation
· Operation and Maintenance of Control Systems
· Research and Development Work
Qualifications & Experience:
· Previous experience in Aquaculture or Farm Hand work, or a university degree in Aquaculture or a related field, is essential for this position.
· The position will be hands on and require outdoors type work, so experience in this type of work setting is beneficial.
· The successful applicant will be reliable, physically fit, self-motivated and a valuable problem solver.
· Current driver’s license (required).
· Construction White Card (or willingness to obtain).
· Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
· Current Forklift License (or willingness to obtain).
This position will take part in a rotational shift schedule. This means you'll alternate between working afternoon shifts (12.30pm-10pm) and day shifts (6:30am-4pm) in 8–10-week blocks. Penalty rates will apply for hours worked outside of standard working hours.

Our Commitment:

Salary offered is $75k to $85k
Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
