CLS is a commercial laundry located in Cannonvale, servicing the Whitsunday Islands and mainland hotels.

We are currently seeking a Forklift Operator & Production Operator/Forklift Relief for an immediate start, 5 days a week (and some Saturdays) on a full-time basis at our Cannonvale location.

We have two positions open:

Forklift Operator – Full Time

Hours: 12pm – 8pm, Monday to Friday, plus some Saturdays during peak periods. Overtime rates apply. Shift times may vary during quieter periods.

Your standard shift rates:

- 12pm – 6pm: $27.72 p/h

- 6pm – 8pm: $41.58 p/h

As a Forklift Operator your main task is the efficient loading/unloading of trailers and disbursing pallecons to the appropriate teams in a timely, continuous manner in line with the production schedule, with your prime focus being on completing these tasks safely and efficiently.

Production Operator/Forklift Relief - Full Time

Hours: 12pm – 8pm, Monday to Friday, plus some Saturdays during peak periods. Overtime rates apply. Shift times may vary during quieter periods.

Your standard shift rates:

- 12pm – 6pm: $27.72 p/h

- 6pm – 8pm: $41.58 p/h

As a Production Operator/Forklift Relief you will predominantly work on the laundry floor. As a Production Operator,



your primary focus will be processing linen efficiently through our production lines while maintaining the highest standards of quality. This role involves feeding linen through commercial laundry machinery, quality checking finished products and working as part of a fast-paced production team. You will provide forklift coverage as required, such as breaks, leave or Saturdays.

Adult Pay Rates:

Standard hourly rate: $27.72 p/h

Rate before 6am/after 6pm: $41.58 p/h

Overtime first 3 hours (or Saturdays first 3 hours): $41.58 p/h

Overtime after 3 hours (or Saturdays after 3 hours): $55.44 p/h

Public Holiday: $69.30 p/h

Junior rates apply to employees aged under 20 years.

Requirements

Successful applicants must:

- Forklift licence (essential)

- Drivers licence (essential)

- Be physically fit and capable of working at a fast pace

- Be comfortable working in a warm environment

- Be available to work Saturdays during busy periods

- Be dependable and committed

- Work well within a team workplace

- Have reliable transport

- Be available Monday to Friday for the PM team

- Have no planned leave during December and January

Desired Additional Licence

- Truck licence (MR or HR) non-essential
