At Kanda, you’ll work alongside children, young people and families experiencing challenging circumstances, supporting them to build safer, more stable futures.

Sometimes progress looks like a big breakthrough.
Sometimes it’s a parent feeling more confident.
A young person reconnecting with school.
A family finding the right support.
Or a child being able to remain safely at home.
The small moments matter.

You might be a great fit if you:

- Genuinely care about improving outcomes for children, young people and families
- Can build trusting relationships while maintaining skilled boundaries
- Use a respectful, strengths-based approach when working with families
- Can listen without judgement and meet people where they’re at
- Are confident working alongside families to identify goals and build practical skills
- Can work collaboratively with Child Safety, schools and community services
- Are patient, reflective and able to stay calm when things become challenging
- Understand that behaviour is communication and are curious about what sits underneath it
- Can connect families with practical supports, services and opportunities




- Want to do work that creates meaningful, lasting change
- Are willing to learn, reflect and continue developing your practice
- You do need to be willing to listen, stay curious and walk alongside families as they work towards change.

You'll Bring

- A genuine commitment to supporting children, young people and families.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage people using a respectful, strengths-based approach.
- A current Australian driver's licence (minimum P2).
- A Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain them.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain.
- A completed or currently enrolled Certificate IV or Diploma in Community Services, Youth Work, Social Work or a related qualification.
- Availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts across a 7-day roster
