Landscape Gardener – Mow the Extra Mile

Perth Southern Suburbs | Full-Time | $75,000 – $85,000 + Super

Mow the Extra Mile is a locally owned landscaping and grounds maintenance business serving residential and commercial clients across Cockburn, Kwinana, Rockingham, Melville and Fremantle. As we grow our commercial division, we’re looking for a skilled Landscape Gardener to join our crew and help maintain outdoor spaces our clients are proud of.

What you’ll do:

- Maintain gardens, lawns, and landscaped areas to a high standard across residential and commercial sites
- Carry out planting, pruning, edging, mulching, and general garden care
- Operate and care for landscaping equipment, mowers, and hand tools
- Spot issues before they become problems – plant health, irrigation, garden presentation
- Work alongside the team to keep sites looking their best, job after job

What we’re looking for:

- Experience in landscaping, horticulture, or garden maintenance
- A genuine eye for detail and pride in how a finished job looks
- A valid driver’s licence (manual highly regarded)
- Someone keen to grow with a business expanding into commercial and council work

Key Responsibilities

- Plant, prune, and mulch garden beds; maintain hedges and general landscaping
- Construct and maintain hardscape features including paving, retaining walls, edging, and garden borders
- Lay turf, prepare garden beds, and carry out soil/site preparation for new landscaping works
- Install and maintain irrigation components, mulch beds, and decorative rock/gravel areas
- Mow, edge, and maintain lawns and turf areas across residential and commercial sites
- Operate ride-on mowers, push mowers, whipper snippers, blowers, and hand tools safely
- Operate or assist with small plant/machinery for hardscape and landscape construction (e.g. compactors, mini excavators) where required

Skill & Experience

- Previous experience in landscaping, horticulture, hardscaping, or grounds/garden maintenance
- Sound knowledge of turf care, plant care, and general landscaping techniques
- Experience with hardscape construction – paving, retaining walls, edging, or similar landscape structures
- Competent and protected operation of mowing, landscaping, and basic construction equipment
- Valid driver’s licence (manual highly regarded)
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including manual labour
- Strong attention to detail and pride in finished presentation
