POSITION SUMMARY
The Development Specialist develops acquittals, impact reports, expressions of interest, and funding proposals/grants that power our stages and keep our dancers in front of audiences. Working as part of the Development team, the Development Specialist supports the Department's revenue growth and deepens relationships with funders that make everything we do possible.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND FUNCTIONS
Acquittals and Impact Reporting
Works with the Senior Development Manager to prepare and submit acquittal and impact reporting.
Funding applications
Works with Senior Development Manager to prepare and submit funding applications for government, corporate partnerships and Trusts and Foundations.
Coordination
Manages the day-to-day administration associated with acquittals, impact reports and funding proposals including:
- The scheduling of upcoming reporting and proposal dates and deadlines
- Attendance at meetings to discuss preparation of upcoming reporting and funding proposals and timelines
- Managing the receipt of requisite information aligning with scheduled deadlines
- Online portal lodgement of reports and applications, as required
Stakeholder Engagement
Hosting donor and corporate partner events as required.
SELECTION CRITERIA
• Experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality written content within deadlines
• Experience successfully engaging with internal and external stakeholders to deliver outcomes
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams)
• Project management experience is desirable, but not essential

• Arts industry and not-for-profit sector experience, knowledge, or interest.
• Tessitura or relevant CRM experience.
• Stakeholder management experience.

CONTRACT & HOURS
0.8 FTE (4 days a week) 12-month fixed contract, worked between the hours of 8am – 6pm, Monday – Friday with flexibility to choose span of hours. The position may require evening, weekend work and on call periods on occasion.
