Payroll Specialists | Temporary & Contract Opportunities

peoplefusion is currently supporting multiple clients across Newcastle and the Hunter who are seeking experienced payroll professionals for a range of temporary and contract assignments.

We’re particularly keen to hear from Payroll Specialists who can hit the ground running, take ownership of a payroll function and confidently manage high-volume, end-to-end payroll within larger organisations.

What we’re looking for

Ideally, you’ll bring experience across:

- End-to-end payroll processing for approximately 300–500+ employees
- High-volume weekly, fortnightly or monthly payrolls
- Payroll tax, superannuation, reconciliations and month-end reporting
- Award and Enterprise Agreement interpretation
- Payroll compliance and Australian employment legislation
- Managing employee and manager payroll queries
- Strong Excel and payroll systems capability
- Working collaboratively across HR and Finance

Experience supporting a payroll system implementation, migration, upgrade or payroll project will be particularly highly regarded.
