The Shellharbour Club is looking for a Full time Commis Chef to join our large kitchen brigade.

We are looking for someone who will make a positive contribution to the Club’s future whilst taking advantage of the potential career path on offer as the Club continues to grow. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, willing to learn new skills and has proven experience in a fast-paced kitchen. Most importantly we want someone who has a passion for food and thrives working in a busy setting across a range of shifts including days, nights, split shifts and weekends.

The Role

- You will assist the kitchen brigade with the smooth operations across multiple outlets by performing cooking and food preparation duties to a high standard.

- Ensuring preparation lists are completed in a timely manner.

- Ensuring the safe handling and storing of food items.

- Maintaining safe, clean and comfortable premises in accordance with Club policies and procedures

- Compliance with WHS standards and principals.

You will be able to demonstrate:

- Previous experience in similar roles within a fast paced, high volume venue.

- Excellent communication and organisational skills.

- Strong knowledge and experience of WH&S;, Food Safety and hygiene practices.

- Availability to work days, nights, weekends and split shifts.





- Knowledge of safe food handling principles and cleaning practices.

- Demonstrate sound communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude.

- Sound time management skills
