Sanctuary Lakes Golf Club is seeking an enthusiastic, hands-on Assistant Golf Operations Manager to help lead our team and deliver exceptional experiences for our members, guests and visitors.

About the Club

Located in Melbourne’s west, Sanctuary Lakes Golf Club is a member-owned club featuring a renowned Greg Norman-designed golf course. Our practice facilities include a 300-metre driving range, undercover synthetic bays, a short-game chipping green and a putting green.

We pride ourselves on creating a friendly, welcoming environment for members, social golfers and corporate clients.

About the Role

Working closely with the Golf Operations Manager, you will help oversee the daily golf operation, support our team and maintain high standards across service, retail and event delivery.

As part of the Club’s leadership team, you will also contribute ideas to improve our operations and help shape the Club’s future.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with the day-to-day management of golf operations, including the golf shop and golf cart facilities.

- Help lead, motivate and develop a team of up to eight employees.

- Plan, coordinate and administer golf competitions, tournaments and corporate golf events.

- Oversee retail stock, merchandising, product displays and promotions.

- Maintain excellent standards of presentation and service throughout the golf shop.

- Work with the Match & Green Committee to manage course usage, monitor pace of play and uphold standards of conduct, dress and golf etiquette.

- Build positive relationships with members and guests, responding professionally to enquiries and feedback.

- Identify opportunities to improve processes,



team efficiency and the overall golfing experience.

About You

You are an approachable, organised leader who enjoys working with people and takes pride in delivering excellent service.

You will bring:

- At least three years’ experience in a similar role within retail, hospitality, sport or golf operations.

- A strong customer service focus and the ability to build rapport with a wide range of people.

- Retail management experience, including stock control, merchandising and team supervision.

- Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead by example.

- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high shop standards.

- Initiative, a solid work ethic and confidence managing competing priorities.

- A genuine interest in golf and a drive to contribute to the Club’s success.

Experience with MiClub and SwiftPOS is advantageous but not essential. Previous golf industry employment is not required if you have relevant management experience and a willingness to learn.
