This is a hands-on management accounting role suited to a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys going beyond the numbers. You will partner closely with operational and management teams, providing meaningful financial analysis, identifying opportunities and risks, and helping translate financial information into practical business decisions.

About the role

Reporting into the finance function, you will be responsible for delivering accurate management reporting while providing the analysis and commercial insight needed to support business performance.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Prepare and deliver monthly Profit & Loss reporting, including journals and supporting management reports.

- Lead month-end variance analysis, providing explicit commentary and identifying key drivers of financial performance.

- Analyse financial results, trends and cost drivers and translate these into meaningful commercial insights for non-finance stakeholders.

- Develop financial analysis, business cases and scenarios to support investment and operational decisions.

- Prepare and present budgets, forecasts and financial performance reports, highlighting risks, opportunities and areas requiring action.

- Partner with operational and branch managers to support financial planning, cost control and commercial decision-making.

- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls and reporting accuracy.

- Support year-end audit activities and ensure financial reporting requirements are met.

- Oversee key Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, including supplier payments, customer invoicing, collections and reconciliations.

- Support effective cash flow and working capital management through strong AP and AR controls.

- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and commercial outcomes.

- Challenge existing processes and ways of working, driving efficiency, cost savings and continuous improvement.

- Manage the financial administration associated with supplier, vendor and partner rebate/incentive programs, including claims, documentation and tracking.

- Work collaboratively with project and operational teams to resolve financial or commercial issues and ensure alignment between financial and operational objectives.

What we're looking for

We are looking for a commercially focused accountant who can confidently move between detailed financial analysis and high-level business conversations.

You will ideally bring:

- A bachelor’s degree in accounting.

- CA or CPA qualification.

- 3–5+ years' experience in a Management Accountant or similar commercial finance role.

- Strong experience across management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.

- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.

- Experience with SAP Business One (SAP B1).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify the story behind the numbers.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.

- A proactive approach to identifying commercial opportunities, risks and efficiencies.

- Strong attention to detail, organisation and self-management.

- The confidence to challenge existing thinking and put forward recommendations supported by robust financial analysis.

- A collaborative, customer-focused approach and the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of an organisation.

Experience in any of the following will be highly regarded:

- Management accounting within a distribution or operational environment.

- Commercial finance and business partnering.

- Process improvement and change management.

- Cost control and commercial procedure development.

- Supplier/vendor rebate and incentive programs.

- Previous experience leading or supporting a finance team.

In return Logic Technologies can offer an excellent opportunity to grow your career, in a stable and expanding environment.

On top of:
