Are you passionate about helping people work safely, confidently and injury‑free? We’re looking for a Manual Task Trainer to join us for 40 hours per fortnight. Working days are currently Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, future flexibility on days may be considered once the current training program concludes. In this role, you'll work across Rise locations throughout the Perth metro area, including our offices, day centres and supported living houses.
You’ll take the lead on designing and delivering practical, engaging manual handling training that supports our teams to work safely every day. You’ll partner closely with staff, leaders and the WHS team to build safer habits, reduce risks and make a real impact in the workplace.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing, delivering and assessing practical manual handling training
- Working with stakeholders to identify training needs
- Coaching staff to recognise and manage manual handling risks
- Completing manual handling and ergonomic assessments
- Supporting incident investigations and helping maintain the manual task hazard register
- Promoting a positive, safe and team-oriented workplace culture
?? The need-to-have…
Here at Rise, we nurture potential, but we do need you to have a few tricks up your sleeve including the following:
- Current Certificate IV Training & Assessment
- Relevant qualifications (including certification with Australian Association of Manutention Practitioners Inc) and experience (Aged, Disability and/or Mental Health)
- Demonstrated experience as a trainer and ability to design/deliver manual tasks training sessions and assessments
- Demonstrated ability to design and develop learning resources and training programs

Appointments to this position will be subject to a national police clearance and requires a pre-employment medical assessment. Costs for new checks will be covered and/or reimbursed by Rise.
