ABOUT THE ROLE

- Casual
- $43.70 per hour + 12% superannuation

South Gippsland Shire Council is looking to increase its casual workforce with enthusiastic and experienced outdoor staff.
These positions will be located in Leongatha or Foster but may work across various locations across the shire.

Council will support you to succeed in your casual role by providing opportunities for training across the software, systems and processes used within the organisation.

- Maintenance Team Members (including Machine Operators, Road Maintenance)
- Key responsibilities of this role include assisting in the development and maintenance of roads infrastructure, bridges, drains, major culverts, storm water and footpaths throughout South Gippsland (tickets and experience in the operation of chainsaws, loaders, backhoes and excavators).

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in these positions you must be physically fit to undertake labouring work and also have experience within a similar role and have an understanding of how to safely and competently undertake a range of duties including the use of plant and equipment. You will be known for your attention to detail, time management and the ability to work within a team. You will also have a current driver’s licence.

Flexibility is required and you can nominate the days you are available. As these roles are casual, all applicants should be aware that any offer of employment will not guarantee the future offer of any hours of work.
