Fix Auto Brisbane is part of a professional collision repair network delivering high-quality repair work, every time. We are looking for an experienced Paint Technician who takes pride in producing exceptional finishes and maintaining the highest standards of quality and workmanship.
Key responsibilities
Review repair orders and plan refinishing requirements
Prepare vehicle panels and components for painting, including sanding, masking and surface preparation
Mix and match paint using automated paint mixing systems and manufacturer formulas
Apply primers, basecoats and clear coats to OEM and manufacturer specifications
Operate spray-painting equipment and perform refinishing work to a high standard
Carry out paint rectification, polishing and final finish work as required
Work closely with the body repair department to ensure effective workflow and vehicle throughput
Conduct quality checks to ensure colour match, finish quality and customer satisfaction
Clean and maintain paint booths, equipment, ventilation systems and PPE
Complete paperwork accurately and follow workshop safety standards
About you
Automotive Refinishing trade qualification (required)
3+ years of automotive refinishing or collision repair experience preferred
Strong knowledge of paint application techniques, colour matching and refinishing processes
Experience working with modern paint systems and manufacturer procedures
Ability to work independently and keep to production timelines
Good communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to workplace health and safety requirements
