An established resources services business is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to take ownership of its finance function during a period of growth and change. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will work with a lean finance team and play a key role in strengthening financial control, cash flow visibility and reporting.

About the Role:
You will take responsibility for the day-to-day finance function and provide accurate, timely financial information to the CFO and broader management team. Your responsibilities will include:
Ownership of month-end and management reporting
Cash flow forecasting and working capital management
Balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls
Supporting year-end and audit requirements
Managing and developing a small finance team
Providing financial information to management and external financiers
Improving finance processes, invoicing and systems
Partnering with operational stakeholders across the business

The business currently operates on Xero, with future systems improvements also being considered.

About You:
You will be an experienced Financial Controller who is comfortable getting into the detail. Ideally, you will bring:




Strong financial accounting and reporting experience
Hands-on cash flow and month-end capability
Experience within a lean finance team
Robust financial controls and process improvement experience
Confidence working with senior and operational stakeholders
CA or CPA qualification will be highly regarded

Experience within resources, mining services, oil and gas, engineering or another operational environment would be advantageous.

On Offer:
$150,000 to $165,000 + superannuation
Brisbane CBD location
Initial six-month contract with extension and permanency potential
Direct exposure to the CFO and wider business
Prospect to improve processes and systems
