Saunders Painting Central Coast is looking for a motivated and reliable 1st Year Painting Apprentice to join our growing team.
This is a excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to start a career in the painting and decorating industry and learn from experienced tradesmen while working on a variety of residential and commercial projects across the Central Coast.
About the Role
As a 1st Year Apprentice Painter, you will learn all aspects of the painting trade while working alongside experienced painters.
Your day-to-day duties will include:
Preparing surfaces for painting, including sanding, scraping and filling
Masking and protecting floors, windows and other surfaces
Assisting with interior and exterior painting
Learning correct brush, roller and spray-painting techniques
Mixing and preparing paints and coatings
Keeping work areas clean, organised and protected
Assisting tradesmen with daily tasks
Learning how to properly use painting tools and equipment
Following workplace health and safety procedures
Travelling to different job sites across the Central Coast
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
Reliable and punctual
Hard-working and willing to learn
Physically fit and comfortable working on their feet
Well presented and respectful
Able to follow instructions
Has good attention to detail
Takes pride in their work
Works well as part of a team
Has a positive attitude
Has a current driver’s licence or is working towards one (preferred)
No previous painting experience is required. We are looking for the right attitude and someone who genuinely wants to learn the trade.
