We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Payroll Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone looking to build or further develop their payroll career in a supportive and fast-paced environment.

As a Payroll Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.

Key Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation and processing of weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls.
Maintain employee payroll records and ensure data accuracy.
Process employee commencements, salary changes, and terminations.
Assist with the administration of leave entitlements, superannuation, and payroll deductions.
Respond to payroll-related queries from employees and managers in a qualified and timely manner.
Ensure compliance with Fair Work legislation, taxation requirements, and company policies.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous administration, payroll,



or finance experience.
Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
A willingness to learn and develop within the payroll profession.

Desired Qualifications and Experience
Experience using payroll systems such as ADP (desired but not essential)
Understanding of Australian payroll legislation, awards, and employment conditions (advantageous).
