About the role

As Manager, you'll run your own book of clients end-to-end while contributing to firm-level service delivery and strategy. You'll report directly to the Managing Director and act as a key leader in the team, driving high-quality tax and advisory outcomes, developing relationships, and helping shape how the practice delivers value. This is a high-ownership role with direct client contact, leadership responsibilities, and accountability for results in a no-timesheet, KPI-focused environment.

Key responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of clients across tax compliance and business advisory (entities include individuals, partnerships, trusts, and companies)
Lead strategic conversations on structure, tax planning, cash flow, profitability, and wealth creation
Oversee delivery of work, ensure quality and timeliness, and mentor senior/junior staff
Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships as a trusted advisor
Use AI and contemporary tools to improve efficiency, insight, and client reporting
Contribute to firm initiatives around service design, KPIs, and continuous improvement

About you
8–9 years' experience in public practice, with a proven track record of running your own clients
Chartered Accountant (CA/CPA)



with deep technical tax knowledge and strong advisory capability
Confident leader and communicator who can challenge and guide business owners and professionals
Comfortable operating with autonomy and reporting directly to the MD
Passionate about people, growth, and using numbers to drive better decisions
Embraces AI and technology as part of contemporary practice delivery
CA or CPA qualified
Extensive experience with Australian tax compliance and planning across multiple entity types
Demonstrated ability to design and implement strategies for business growth, cash flow improvement, and asset protection
Strong leadership experience: supervising teams, managing workloads, and ensuring quality
