About the role

The Groundworks Labourer supports the secure and productive delivery of grounds maintenance and landscaping services. Reporting to the Groundworks Supervisor, the role completes allocated tasks, operates equipment safely, and contributes to high-quality outcomes for clients. The grounds maintenance team delivers landscaping services throughout the Gove Peninsula for commercial, community and residential clients.

Key responsibilities
Complete mowing, whipper snipping, pruning, weed control, rubbish removal, watering, planting and general site clean-up
Safely operate and care for landscaping tools, vehicles and machinery as authorised and trained
Follow daily work instructions, work cooperatively with the team, and provide respectful service to clients and community members
Follow WHS procedures, use required PPE, manage hydration, report hazards or incidents, and help keep work areas secure
Assist with timesheets, attendance, job photos, pre-start checks and other records as directed by the Supervisor

About you




Reliable attendance
Current driver licence
Ability to perform outdoor physical work
Follow instructions and work safely as part of a team
Desirable: Previous grounds maintenance or labouring experience
Desirable: Relevant machinery tickets or experience
