The Company

A large organisation based in Brisbane’s western suburbs is looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join its finance team on a 6 months contract.

This is a broad financial accounting role within a sizeable and established team. You will be involved across month end, reporting, reconciliations, audit support and improving the way existing processes are managed.

This role would suit a hands-on Financial Accountant who can step into an established finance function, take ownership of key responsibilities and provide immediate support to the wider business.

The Role

This 6-month contract with the possibility of extending will be suitable for an immediately available or soon to be immediately available Financial Accountant who will report directly to the Finance Manager.

Duties include but are not limited to:
• Completing month end accounting and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assisting with financial reporting across a complex business
• Working closely with commercial finance and operational stakeholders
• Supporting audit and year end requirements




• Reviewing existing processes and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency
• Assisting with finance projects and other accounting requirements as they arise

Skills and Experience:
Experience in a fast-paced environment.
Outstanding attention to detail
Experience within the hotel industry (beneficial)
Good open and positive mindset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software programs
Robust organisational and communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
