We’re a busy gourmet grocer with a strong focus on fresh, high-quality food made in-house daily.

We’re looking for a reliable, quick, and organised production cook / kitchen hand to support day-to-day prep and cooking, and keep things running smoothly.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role — not a creative or menu development position.

The role could suit part time or full-time - we have part time available for purely kitchen, approximately 25hrs/week, or more if you are happy to mix it up and do some front-of-house (serving at the counter, making juices).

The Role

You’ll be responsible for:
Preparing salads, sandwiches, and straightforward hot items to a high standard
Following established recipes exactly and consistently
Managing your prep list and getting through it efficiently
Keeping a clean, organised workspace
Working independently once up to speed

Support will be available, but you need to be comfortable getting the job done without constant supervision.

What We’re Looking For
Solid experience in a fast-paced kitchen, cafe, or similar environment
Strong organisation and time management
Ability to work quickly without sacrificing consistency
Good basic food sense and attention to detail

This role suits someone who enjoys structure and getting things done well — not someone looking to reinvent dishes or lead a kitchen creatively.

Hours & Pay
Part-time or Full-time, daytime hours (no nights)
Salary: ~$65,000 depending on experience and whether full time or part time
