We are looking for an experienced, motivated and passionate Head Chef to join our café team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the kitchen, maintaining high food standards and ensuring the smooth and effective operation of the kitchen during busy café service.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the kitchen team during daily operations

Prepare and present high-quality breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes

Maintain consistency, quality and presentation across all menu items

Develop new menu ideas and seasonal specials

Manage food preparation, stock levels and ordering

Minimise food wastage and maintain food cost targets

Ensure all food is prepared and stored in accordance with food safety regulations

Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen at all times

Train, supervise and motivate kitchen staff

Manage kitchen prep and ensure the team is ready for service

Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining high standards

Monitor portion control and kitchen costs

Communicate effectively with management and front-of-house staff





Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely and maintained appropriately

About Us

Previous experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef or experienced Chef in a busy café

Strong breakfast and brunch experience preferred

Excellent food preparation and presentation skills

Ability to lead and motivate a kitchen team

Excellent time management and organisational skills

Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure

Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements

Reliable, punctual and professional

Passionate about quality food and customer satisfaction

Ability to work independently and take responsibility for the kitchen
