About Us:

The Berry General Store is a cafe, retail store and events venue right in the heart of Berry on Prince Alfred Street. Good food, positive energy, a team that hustles for each other and a community that backs us. Summer is our biggest stretch of the year and it's a hell of a ride.

The Role:

We need a chef/cook who's ready to jump in and own a summer season with us. Full run of service, cafe menu through the week plus weekend events and functions when things really heat up. You'll be working alongside our kitchen crew, keeping the standard high when the pace picks up.

What you'll be doing:
Running your section through busy cafe and event service.
Nailing our seasonal menu, consistently, every time.
Keeping food safety, cleanliness and stock on point.
Working with the head chef and the rest of the kitchen to keep it smooth when it's slammed.




Staying on top of waste and portions when volume's high.

What We're Looking For
Real experience in a busy cafe, restaurant or events kitchen.
Someone who's valuable under pressure and actually enjoys the chaos of a summer season.
A valuable teammate, reliable, shows up on time.
Free for the full stretch, November to March/April, including weekends and public holidays over peak.
