Casual Duty Manager – Barmera Hotel

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable and confident Casual Duty Manager to join the team at the Barmera Hotel.

This would be a great opportunity for someone who already has hospitality experience and is looking to take the next step, or for an experienced Duty Manager looking for a relaxed, hands-on role in a great local venue.

You’ll be working across a range of shifts and helping keep things running smoothly while making sure our customers and team have a excellent experience.

What you’ll be doing

Helping run the venue during your shifts

Supporting and leading the team

Serving customers across the bar and other areas when needed

Opening and closing the venue

Cash handling and basic end-of-shift duties

Making sure RSA, gaming and venue requirements are followed

Helping out during busy periods, functions and events

Keeping the venue looking great and running smoothly

Handling customer enquiries and helping resolve any issues that come up

What we’re looking for

We’re after someone who is:

Friendly, approachable and comfortable talking to people

Reliable and able to take responsibility during a shift





Confident working as part of a team

Happy to jump in and help wherever needed

Available for a mix of shifts, including nights and weekends

Experienced in hospitality

Currently holds a Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)

You’ll also need to either hold, or be willing and eligible to obtain, a Responsible Person badge/approval.

Gaming experience would be outstanding, but it’s not essential. If you’re the right fit for the team, we’re happy to help with training and getting you up to speed with gaming.
