We are looking for a motivated and passionate chef to join our team on a part time basis, with the opportunity to develop into a Sous Chef and eventually a Head Chef.

The successful candidate will initially work closely with our experienced Head Chef, learning our menu, kitchen systems, food preparation, ordering, stock control, food costing and day-to-day kitchen operations. As their skills, knowledge and confidence develop, they will gradually take on more responsibility and begin assisting with kitchen leadership and staff supervision.

This is a development opportunity for someone who wants to build a long-term career in the kitchen. The role will initially be part time, with an hourly rate of approximately $28–$35 per hour depending on experience and skill level, with the prospect for increased hours, responsibility and remuneration as the candidate progresses.

hardworking, eager to learn, takes pride in their work and is interested in progressing into a leadership position. The long-term pathway for the right person is Chef → Sous Chef → Head Chef.

Previous commercial kitchen experience

Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 40.0 per week
