About the role

As a Sheet Metal Worker / Duct Installer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair and replacement of commercial HVAC ductwork and related components. You will work across a range of major construction projects, ensuring ductwork systems are installed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities
Install rigid and versatile HVAC ductwork across commercial construction projects.
Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, schematics and technical specifications.
Ensure installations meet Australian Standards, project specifications and safety requirements.
Repair, replace and modify ductwork and related HVAC components where required.
Use hand and power tools including shears, snips, drills and measuring equipment.
Work collaboratively with supervisors, trades and project teams to meet installation schedules.
Assist with troubleshooting, maintenance and equipment-related issues.
Maintain a high standard of workmanship, housekeeping and site safety.
Where required, provide guidance and support to junior team members.

About you
Proven experience in commercial HVAC duct installation, sheet metal work or construction.
Solid mechanical knowledge and practical problem-solving skills.
Experience installing rigid and versatile ducting.




Ability to accurately read and interpret plans, drawings and technical diagrams.
Positive understanding of Australian construction practices and WHS requirements.
Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to guide junior team members.
Construction Industry White Card.
Current Driver's Licence.
