Job Title: Electrician
Location: Blacktown, NSW
Rate: $60.00 per hour + Super
Duration: Contract until December 2026

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrician to join a busy local council maintenance team based in Blacktown. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a well-paid contract through to the end of the year, working across a range of council-owned facilities and assets throughout the local area.

You will be responsible for carrying out reactive and planned electrical maintenance, fault finding, repairs, and upgrades across community buildings, sporting facilities, depots, parks, and other council infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
Perform reactive and preventative electrical maintenance
Fault finding, testing, and repairs on electrical systems
Maintenance of lighting, switchboards, power circuits, and control systems
Install and replace electrical equipment as required
Complete compliance testing and reporting




Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with Australian Standards
Liaise with supervisors and other trades on site
Maintain accurate records of completed works

Requirements
NSW Electrical Licence
Current Driver's Licence
White Card
Robust fault-finding and maintenance experience
Ability to work independently and manage daily workloads
Experience in commercial, government, facilities maintenance, or council settings highly regarded
