Salary Range: $108,044 - $119,061 pa plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

About the role


The role is responsible for providing governance and program and project management support by identifying, analysing and facilitating improvements to business systems, processes and workflows aligned with the overall business and strategic requirements and the Department’s operational plans.  


Key Accountabilities include

- Provide secretariat and coordinate the program’s cycle(s) of governance committee(s) in adherence with the Terms of Reference and the FACS Corporate Governance principles
- Coordinate the development of governance committee agendas, the allocation of papers, their timely receipt, endorsement, and delivery to committee members
- Collaborate with project managers across the reform portfolio to develop project plans, monitor dependencies, identify and manage risks and issues, reconcile against budget, communicate progress, and share learnings
- Meet regularly with project teams to maintain communication about deliverables, interfaces, issues and impacts, and encourage information-sharing as appropriate; act as a resource for project management, risk management, governance, process improvement
- Develop reports on routine cycles – PMO team, governance, corporate, State Priorities – and respond to ad hoc and high urgency requests; Provide clear, accurate, timely, relevant advice to decision-makers
- Monitor interdependencies and coordination across projects to ensure that information relating to project deliverables, risks and issues are effectively communicated between stakeholders and that key performance indicators are monitored and evaluated

There is one (1) ongoing role in accordance with the Government Sector Employment Act 2013.


A Recruitment Pool may be created to fill similar roles for both ongoing and temporary opportunities if and as they arise.


Essential Requirements


Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.

Appointments are subject to reference checks. Some roles may also require the following checks/ clearances:

- National Criminal History Record Check in accordance with the Disability Inclusion Act 2014
- Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012
