Head of Data & AI
Job Description

We are looking to connect with accomplished Data & AI leaders for senior prospects with ambitious Australian organisations investing in their data, analytics and artificial intelligence capabilities.

This type of role sits at the intersection of technology, commercial strategy and leadership. You will be responsible for defining the organisation's Data & AI strategy, building high-performing teams and turning data into measurable business outcomes.

You will work closely with executive leadership to establish the roadmap, operating model and technology capabilities required to make Data & AI a genuine competitive advantage.

Key responsibilities may include:
Define and execute the organisation's Data & AI strategy.
Build, lead and develop multidisciplinary Data, Analytics and AI teams.
Partner with executive stakeholders to identify high-value opportunities for Data & AI.
Own the roadmap across data platforms, analytics, machine learning and emerging AI capabilities.
Establish appropriate data governance, quality and responsible AI frameworks.
Develop business cases and communicate the commercial value of Data & AI investment.




Lead the selection and implementation of modern data and AI technologies.
Build a culture that combines technical excellence with strong commercial thinking.

RequirementsRequirements
Significant leadership experience across Data, Analytics, AI or related technology functions.
Experience leading and scaling high-performing technical teams.
Solid understanding of contemporary cloud data platforms, analytics and AI/ML.
Demonstrated ability to translate technology strategy into commercial outcomes.
Experience influencing C-suite and senior business stakeholders.
Robust understanding of data governance, security and responsible AI.
Excellent communication and leadership capability.
Experience within complex, high-growth or transformation environments will be highly regarded.
