Formwork Carpenters – Major Perth Civil Projects

Perth Metro | $48/hr + Penalties & Allowances | 50 Hours Guaranteed | 4–5 Months + Permanent Potential

CrewSELECT is seeking experienced Formwork Carpenters to join a reputable civil construction contractor delivering major projects across Perth.

You will initially be working on the Midland Rail Project, completing structural formwork including retaining walls, columns, stairs and suspended slabs. Ongoing opportunities are also available across projects such as the Australian Hockey Stadium.

This role is suited to experienced formwork carpenters with a civil construction background — this is not a joinery role.

Candidates with a current RIW Card or Rail Industry Clearance are strongly preferred. For suitable formwork carpenters who do not yet hold rail clearance, training can be arranged immediately, with candidates ready to commence from Wednesday.

What’s on Offer?
$48 per hour + penalties and allowances
10-hour days, Monday to Friday
50 hours per week guaranteed
Potential Saturday shifts available
4–5 months of confirmed work
Chance to transition into a permanent role
Major Perth civil construction projects
Meal allowance after 1.5 hours overtime — $19
Daily travel allowance — $21.94




Weekly tool allowance — $39.60

About the Role

You will be completing structural formwork works including:
Retaining walls
Columns
Stairs
Suspended slabs
Reading and interpreting plans
Setting out, erecting and stripping formwork
Using hand and power tools
Maintaining high standards of safety, quality and site housekeeping

What We’re Looking For
Proven experience as a Formwork Carpenter
Civil construction experience; mining experience will also be considered
Solid experience with retaining walls, columns, stairs and suspended slabs
Ability to work independently as well as within a crew
Current White Card
Own battery drill and basic hand tools
Own work boots and appropriate long-sleeve PPE
Physically fit, reliable and safety-focused
Sufficient English communication skills to understand site instructions
Operator tickets for machinery are highly regarded
RIW Card is highly regarded for the Midland Rail Project
