Dysart Hospital in Queensland is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Emergency and Rural nursing team on a 15-week contract from October 2026 through January 2027. This is a hands-on role at NRG 5 level, offering the chance to work in a energetic rural emergency setting where clinical skills and leadership are equally valued. Lead emergency and rural nursing across triage, resuscitation, and ward management
Work autonomously as the sole RN on shift, with scope to manage the ward and support your team

Preferred Requirements




Proven experience in emergency nursing and rural healthcare settings
Demonstrated competence in triage assessment and resuscitation protocols
Ability to team lead and manage ward operations, including working independently as the only RN on shift
Experience with QLD ieMR, FirstNet, PowerChart, and HBCIS systems desirable
Own vehicle highly recommended for rural placement

Preferred Qualifications
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Advanced Life Support (ALS) or equivalent emergency nursing certification
Post-graduate qualification or demonstrated experience in emergency or rural nursing
