Gladstone Hospital's Maternity and Neonatal Nursery is seeking an experienced Registered Midwife or Registered Nurse (Dual) to join the team on a four-week contract from September to October 2026. This is an excellent prospect to contribute to a busy maternity service, working across the birth suite and neonatal nursery with a competitive salary of AUD57.62 to AUD73.04 per hour. The successful candidate will bring robust clinical skills and a commitment to supporting mothers and newborns during critical moments in their care journey.

Preferred Requirements




Demonstrated maternity and ante/post-natal nursing or midwifery experience
Current Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation certification or equivalent qualification
Hands-on experience working in a birth suite environment
Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills in a fast-paced setting
Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and respond to the needs of mothers and newborns

Preferred Qualifications
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife or Registered Nurse
Post-graduate qualification or specialist training in midwifery, neonatal care, or maternal health
Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) or equivalent resuscitation certification
