Overview
CSL Australia is currently looking for a permanent full time First Engineer to join our cement carrier Goliath on a roster schedule 6 weeks on and 6 weeks off. This operation is based in the Bass Strait. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, the First Engineeris responsible forthe delegation of maintenance and repair tasks to other Engineering Officers including themselves.

How will you contribute to our success?
The First Engineer willbe responsible for:
Assisting the Chief Engineer inidentifyingdeficiencies inprocedures;
Being the Senior Officer in charge of daily Engine Room andmaintenance;
Providing guidance andassistanceto the less experienced Engineers and coordinates the Engine Room training programs for current entrants and EngineerCadets;
Ensuring all spare part usage is recorded within the computer PMS systemon a daily basis.

Basic Requirements
Educational requirement: as per AMSA Marine Order 72 – Engineer Class 2 (required)
AMSA Engineer (Class 2)



CoC/CoRUnlimited
Minimum 3 years sea time as an Engine Watchkeeper(required)
Certificate of Safety Training (STCW)(desirable)
Work Safely at Heights Certification(desirable)
Enter and Work in Confined Space Certification(desirable)
Hold, or be eligible to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)(required)
Australian Citizen or unlimited Australian Working Rights
