OverviewAWS is seeking Controls Engineers to support the deployment, servicing and ongoing operation of critical data centre automation systems across AWS infrastructure environments. Working within the Controls Deployment & Service (CDS) team, you will help deliver and support Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) that ensure the health, reliability and performance of AWS data centres. This role requires the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and collaborate across multiple teams in fast-paced, mission-critical environments.

The role
As a Controls Engineer within the Controls Deployment & Service (CDS) team, you will support the deployment, servicing and upgrade of data centre automation systems across AWS infrastructure projects.
Key responsibilities
Deployment and support of Building Management Systems (BMS)
and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS)
Supporting critical projects and automation upgrades across AWS data centres
Diagnosing and resolving operational events impacting data centre systems
Supporting service and maintenance activities within defined SLAs
Working closely with construction, commissioning, operations, engineering and vendor teams
Supporting initiatives to improve operational efficiency and infrastructure reliability
Skills and experience
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field
Experience with power management and power monitoring systems
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Experience working in critical infrastructure, industrial automation or data centre environments highly regarded
Ability to read and interpret engineering documentation, drawings and specifications desirable
Experience collaborating across technical and operational teams
Requirements
Australian Citizenship required
Must hold, or be eligible to obtain, an Australian Government Security Clearance
Ability to successfully complete an Organisational Suitability Assessment
Ability and willingness to travel domestically or internationally as requiredAbility to work in quick-paced operational and project environments
