Senior Engineering Teacher – Term 2 Start
Teach Senior Engineering and STEM, including Design Technology - Years *****.
We are seeking a passionate and innovative Engineering teacher to join a forward-thinking, co‐educational secondary college on Brisbane's north side.
This full-time fixed‐term position runs until the end of ****, with potential for permanency based on performance and fit.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and effective Engineering and Design Technology lessons for Years *****, aligned with the Australian Curriculum and Queensland senior syllabus.
Support senior students in deepening technical understanding through project‐based learning, CAD design, practical fabrication, and engineering problem‐solving.
Foster critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration through innovative teaching strategies tailored to diverse learners.
Assess, report, and provide timely, constructive feedback to students and parents.
Collaborate with STEM faculty colleagues on planning, moderation, and co‐curricular STEM initiatives.
Contribute to the wider College community through enrichment programs, competitions, and STEM events.




What We're Looking For To thrive in this role, you will have:
A recognised teaching qualification and current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT).
Experience teaching Senior Engineering, Design Technology, or STEM subjects in secondary contexts.
A commitment to student‐centred, evidence‐based teaching practices.
Solid communication, collaboration, and organisational skills.
Enthusiasm for professional growth and contributing to a supportive, values‐driven school culture.
