About the role
We have an opportunity for a lawyer (1-2 year PQE) or associate(2-4 year PQE) to join our Health team on a fulltime basis.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Defending claims for negligence against doctors, nurses,hospitals, and health services; and
Gathering medical evidence, investigating liability, andassessing quantum of the claim; and
Opportunities to assist in coronialinquests/investigations.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
A Bachelor of Laws (or equivalent) and a current New SouthWales practising certificate




Experience in defendant medical negligence litigation andcoronial inquests
Experience managing litigated matters across a variety ofjurisdictions
Client-facing experience, with the ability to understandand manage client needs
A commercial approach, with the ability to articulateadvice clearly and negotiate effectively
Excellent technical skills, with the ability to manage abusy workload
