The Role
The Manager Corporate Governance and Risk is responsible for supporting effective governance, risk management, compliance tracking and assurance across our education operations, strategic initiatives and new school establishment activities.
The role coordinates governance frameworks, risk registers, compliance obligations, regulatory milestones, policy and procedure documentation, reporting schedules, action tracking and audit-ready evidence to ensure key requirements are visible, monitored and progressed.
Working closely with the Group Principal, education leaders, project teams, shared services and external stakeholders, the position strengthens accountability, supports regulatory readiness,



improves governance discipline and provides practical recommendations to manage risk and maintain compliance.
Key responsibilities
Support the development, implementation and maintenance of governance frameworks across MRAEL's education operations and growth projects.
Coordinate governance calendars, meeting cycles, action registers, reporting schedules and decision records.
Coordinate and maintain risk registers for education operations, current school establishment projects and relevant strategic initiatives.
Work with operational leaders to identify, assess, document and monitor risks, controls, mitigation actions and accountable owners.
Support the monitoring of compliance obligations relevant to education operations, school registration, accreditation, vocational education and associated programs.
Assist with tracking key requirements, due dates, submissions, evidence, approvals and regulatory milestones.
Coordinate review and maintenance of relevant policies, procedures, frameworks, registers and supporting documents.
Prepare regular governance, compliance and risk reports for the Group Principal.
Work collaboratively with Principals, RTO Managers, education leaders, shared services and project teams.
Identify opportunities to streamline governance processes,



improve reporting quality and strengthen compliance tracking.
You will have / be:
Relevant qualification in governance, risk, compliance, business, education administration, quality assurance or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in governance, risk, compliance, quality assurance, audit support or regulatory administration.
Strong understanding of governance documentation, registers, action tracking, reporting and evidence management.
Experience supporting regulated environments, preferably education, vocational training, not-for-profit, employment services or community services.
Ability to interpret compliance obligations and translate them into practical tracking, reporting and assurance activities.
Strong written communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, briefing notes, registers and governance records.
High attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate, defensible and audit-ready documentation.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to work collaboratively across operational and corporate teams.
Satisfactory National Police Check, Valid Working with Children Check Exemption Check, Teacher Registration, Drivers Licence, and Valid NDIS Working Screening Check.
