Overview
AWS is seeking Associate Systems Engineers – Windows to support secure cloud infrastructure environments within the AWS Region Services team. This role is responsible for supporting Windows infrastructure, automation, operational systems and large-scale cloud environments across highly secure AWS environments supporting sensitive workloads. The role requires strong technical problem-solving skills, collaboration and the ability to operate within fast-paced operational and engineering environments.

The role
As an Associate Systems Engineer – Windows within AWS Region Services, you will support the operation,



maintenance and automation of Windows infrastructure environments across AWS cloud services.
Supporting Windows Server infrastructure and Active Directory environments
Performing system maintenance, updates and patch management activities
Supporting infrastructure automation and operational tooling initiatives
Skills and experience
Experience in systems engineering, systems administration, DevOps, security administration or network administration
Experience scripting in PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ruby or similar languages
Understanding of networking fundamentals
Solid troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills
Experience supporting Windows infrastructure and Active Directory environments
Experience with automation and tooling for large-scale environments highly regarded
Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools including CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Puppet or Chef desirable
Experience in networking and systems troubleshooting desirable
Requirements
Australian Citizenship required
Must hold, or be eligible to obtain, an Australian Government Security Clearance
Ability to successfully complete an Organisational Suitability Assessment
Ability to participate in on-call and out-of-hours operational support as required
Ability to work within highly secure operational environments
