We are seeking an experienced and highly capable
Precinct Security Manager
to take a senior leadership role within a high-profile commercial precinct in Melbourne.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished security professional who is looking to take ownership of security operations within a complex, high-profile workplace and build strong relationships with blue-chip tenants, building management, contractors, emergency services and key precinct stakeholders.
About the Role
Reporting to senior building management, the Precinct Security Manager will have overall responsibility for the effective day-to-day management of security operations across the precinct.
This is a highly visible leadership position requiring a professional, proactive and solutions-focused approach. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of security, safety, emergency preparedness and customer service while continually identifying opportunities to improve precinct security operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all aspects of precinct security operations.
Provide strong leadership, direction and mentoring to the security team.
Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with
blue-chip tenants,



building management and all key precinct stakeholders
.
Act as a key point of contact during security incidents, emergencies and critical events.
Develop, implement and regularly review
site-specific Security SOPs, emergency procedures and operational protocols
.
Maintain a high level of emergency preparedness and coordinate emergency response activities.
Liaise professionally and proactively with
Victoria Police and local emergency services
, developing strong working relationships and effective communication channels.
Manage and coordinate security contractors, specialist contractors and other service providers.
Oversee access control systems, alarm systems and
fire panel operations
, ensuring issues are identified and appropriately escalated.
Conduct security audits, inspections, investigations and risk assessments.
Manage daily operational challenges while effectively prioritising multiple competing requirements.
Identify security vulnerabilities and implement practical corrective actions.
Prepare reports, incident reviews and recommendations for senior management and clients.
Ensure security officers maintain professional presentation, conduct and compliance with site procedures.
Support security planning for events, VIP visits, protests, emergencies and other high-profile activities.
About You
To be successful in this position, you will ideally have:




Minimum 3–5 years' experience managing security operations within a large commercial building environment
, preferably within a multi-building commercial precinct.
Demonstrated experience in a
Security Manager, Precinct Security Manager, Security Operations Manager or similar senior role
.
Excellent
emergency management and incident response experience
.
Demonstrated
Chief Warden experience
and a strong understanding of emergency management procedures.
Competency and practical understanding of
access control systems, fire panels, CCTV and other integrated security systems
.
Strong contractor and stakeholder management skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to communicate confidently and professionally with senior executives, blue-chip tenants, building managers and emergency services.
Strong report writing and administrative capabilities.
A proven ability to develop and implement
site-specific SOPs and operational procedures
.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to
multitask and make sound decisions under pressure
.
A professional, approachable and solutions-focused leadership style.
A strong understanding of commercial building security risks and operational requirements.
Current Victorian Security Licence and relevant qualifications.
Current First Aid certification and relevant emergency management/warden qualifications will be highly regarded
