About The Role
The Country Manager, Australia is responsible for establishing and leading Pharming's Australian affiliate and ensuring the successful launch and sustainable growth of the company's rare disease portfolio.

The Country Manager, Australia is responsible for establishing and leading Pharming's Australian affiliate and ensuring the successful launch and sustainable growth of the company's rare disease portfolio.
As the senior leader for Australia, you will be accountable for affiliate strategy, commercial execution, financial performance, compliance, and operational excellence. You will build and lead a high-performing cross-functional team while representing Pharming with healthcare professionals, patient organizations, payers, government stakeholders, and industry partners.
This role requires a highly customer-focused and entrepreneurial leader who can balance strategic thinking with hands‐on execution to deliver meaningful outcomes for patients.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & General Management
Establish and lead Pharming's Australian affiliate.
Build, coach, and develop a high-performing cross-functional team.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, compliance, and patient focus.
Ensure organizational readiness for launch and future growth.
Lead talent development, performance management, and succession planning.
Launch & Cross-Functional Leadership
Drive launch readiness and execution across Commercial, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Regulatory Affairs, and Operations.
Ensure alignment with regional and global objectives.
Monitor launch progress through KPIs and implement corrective actions as needed.
Commercial Leadership
Develop and execute the Australian commercial strategy.
Drive patient identification, treatment access, and business growth.
Build robust relationships with healthcare professionals, centers of excellence, and key opinion leaders.




Represent Pharming at scientific meetings, congresses, and industry events.
Market Access & Stakeholder Engagement
Build partnerships with payers, government agencies, healthcare decision-makers, and industry associations.
Collaborate with Medical Affairs and Market Access teams to optimise patient access.
Support disease awareness initiatives and stakeholder engagement activities.
Financial & Compliance Management
Oversee business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance.
Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry codes, and company policies.
Maintain effective governance, risk management, and operational processes.
Your profile:
Qualifications & Experience
Education
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business Administration, or a related field.
MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Experience
10+ years of leadership experience in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or rare diseases.
Proven success launching and commercialising specialty or rare disease products.
Experience leading an affiliate, business unit, or significant commercial function.
Strong understanding of the Australian healthcare and reimbursement landscape.
Demonstrated success building and leading high-performing teams.
Experience managing financial performance, planning, and compliance.
